Business Internet Connectivity
Internet for Business in all UK Locations
Whether your team are all back in the office full-time or continues to work from home or even somewhere in between. We have the right internet solution for your business.
We can provide you with Leased Lines and Business Broadband from key UK providers. We have multiple business internet providers to ensure we can offer the best solution in the postcode where you need it.
Business Internet services are so important to the smooth running of every business, it is important to get the right solution in place the first time.
If you need a Business Leased Line, Fibre to the Cabinet (FTTC) or Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), with our selection of top-rate providers and our fantastic service, we can make sure you get the right solution.
PSTN switch-off
Don’t forget that between 2023 and the end of 2025 all broadband solutions based on PSTN and ISDN will need to be upgraded due to the PSTN switch-off.
We will recommend modern digital services whenever they are available.
SOGEA
SOGEA means that you can now order xDSL Business Broadband services, however, you no longer need to take a separate phone line. This reduces the cost by about £12 per month.
The low cost of SOGEA makes it an ideal small business internet solution, which we are happy to recommend.
If you are wondering SOGEA, stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access, thanks to the guys at BT Openreach for coming up with that one.
In a nutshell, SOGEA makes existing broadband services suitable for use after the PSTN switch-off as they are services without Voice services included.
FTTC
FTTC or Fibre to the Cabinet is a VSDL product, which is also available without the telephone line element, as a SoTAP or SOGEA product.
If required, the telephone line element can be provided by VoIP-based telephone services.
FTTC maximum download speeds are
ADSL 24 Mbps download 1.4 Mbps upload for standard broadband
VDSL 80 Mbps download 20 Mbps upload for superfast broadband
VDSL2 330 Mbps download and up to 50 Mbps upload, Gfast Broadband
FTTP
FTTP or Fibre to the Premises is a VSDL2 product, the latest version of superfast broadband, delivered over fibre. Roads across the country are seeing new fibre connections coming from Telegraph poles in business and residential properties.
FTTP, Ultrafast broadband is available in the following headline speeds.
1000 Mbps download 220 Mbps upload
500 Mbps download 68 Mbps upload
300 Mbps download 46 Mbps upload
150 Mbps download 27 Mbps upload
The headline speeds vary between different providers but this gives you an idea of the different speed ranges.
Fibre Leased Lines
Fibre leased lines have traditionally been reserved for larger businesses, however, the leased line cost has come down so much over the years that a leased line is a viable option for any business that needs fast synchronous internet.
Asynchronous and Synchronous Internet Connectivity
Business broadband often provides faster download than upload speeds this is what puts the Asynchronous into ADSL. This works well where most of the traffic is being downloaded, like web browsing watching videos etc.
Fibre Leased lines provide a Synchronous internet connection where the upload speed is the same as the download. This is required where as well as downloading you are also uploading a similar amount. This could be from many email accounts, saving large documents to online services, any kind of web hosting and of course if performing online data backups.

The Best Business Internet Providers
Holbrook Telecom has access to a wide range of suppliers to ensure that we can provide your business with the internet access it needs at a reasonable price.
We are able to supply you with BT Internet Connection when it is the best option. In order to make sure we can give the best available service we also have great working partnerships with a number of smaller more specialised suppliers. These come into their own where BT hasn't been able to upgrade its network in your area. This is where we are in a better place than some other business internet providers, particularly where they can only offer business internet services from a single network.
